I’ve always been focused on growth for my clients, and in my own career as a CPA, CA. In order to provide the most value I’ve consistently looked for new skills to help me excel, and roles that would provide that development.
While working for a large, regional accounting firm for almost a decade, I gained valuable experience in tax planning, corporate reorganizations, and a variety of other areas that many business owners need help in.
I knew the next step was to co-found a company that could provide these dedicated services to other business owners focused on their own growth.
Thus began Bright Line CPA. Our practice focuses on accounting, tax planning, and business advisory/CFO services.

I completed my CPA, CA designation in Fredericton, NB after obtaining my BBA from the University of New Brunswick. I then made my way to a big 4 firm in Halifax where I served small to medium sized businesses from all angles. After 15 years of learning and following, I am ready to teach and lead.
I always knew my story would involve entrepreneurship. Whether that meant starting my own business or working alongside and advising entrepreneurs for a living. So I started Bright Line CPA where I am able to do both. I want to work with like-minded business owners who need anything from every day cloud accounting to review engagement and compilation year-end financials and (everyone’s favourite) tax. Shelley McDougall | Senior Manager
I started my education at ST.FX with a BA in Sociology, minor in Philosophy. I then moved on to NSCC where I graduated with a diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
I began my career with ten years of valuable experience in accounting services, payroll, harmonized sales tax, personal tax, and corporate tax. I was also thrown into the world of cloud accounting and have never looked back!
Cloud accounting drove my passion for helping businesses achieve their goals by aligning them with the appropriate tools, resources, and financial information to be successful. Working at Bright Line CPA allows me to pursue my own personal goals, while also supporting a creative environment where I can help my clients achieve theirs.

I Graduated from NSCC in 2021 with a diploma in business administration with a concentration in accounting. I knew when looking for a job work life balance and the opportunity to keep learning was important to me. Bright line CPA offers just that.
